BBVA Crosses 50% Mobile Engagement
Leading Spanish bank BBVA has announced that as of October 28.1 million of its customers use mobile devices to connect with the bank, this is 50.4% of its customer base; interestingly their Turkish division, Garanti BBVA, has the highest mobile penetration at 66.1%; BBVA has long been a leader in digital banking and they continue to introduce new initiatives here; recently the bank announced that they will bring biometric-enabled digital account opening to all areas of the bank by the end of the year, they launched a fully digital onboarding process for business clients and they have been leveraging AI to tailor campaigns and target customers through their phones that has helped it boost digital sales.
