Goldman Sachs, India CEO Predicts Mergers Big Into 2019
2018 was a record year for mergers in India and the CEO of Goldman Sachs, India feels 2019 will be just as active, claiming India is a “top priory” for technology-driven consumer and financial services companies.
“All pools of global capital – from strategics to financial sponsors – are focused on India,” Goldman Sachs Chairman and co-chief executive Sonjoy Chatterjee said in a recent interview in Mumbai. “Some of these large global companies are sitting on enormous amounts of cash. They need to get into markets which are important for them, and India is a top priority.” Source.
