The Closure of Bank Branches and the Impact on the Poor
Chris Skinner opines on a new report out in the UK on bank account switching. While commenting that the average person’s bank account relationship lasts longer than the average marriage it does appear that people are switching banks at a higher rate than before, up 7% on last year. The reasons many people switch banks is because of branch closures. And this impacts those people who are less digitally engaged, typically poorer people. Source.
